Many of you (it should be ALL of you), have been on IRC at one time or another and have met Gigglez, my wonderful, loveable, asshole of an IRC bot.

Gigglez was given to me by Tek as a bot script with two commands. One I didn't need, and the !uptime command. From there, a combination of constant source code perusing and online research set me on my way to learning PHP. At first I made a few simple commands. Things such as telling the current date. Essentially useless. These days, anyone with a cell phone is an arm's reach away from a calendar. So I kept working on him. With more help from Tek, and more online research, I built more complex, more useful functions, even adding a database of users to control who uses certain commands.

Today Gigglez's repetoire consists of the following user levels:

0 - The Shitlist - Users at this level have done something to really piss me off and have been banned from using Gigglez.

1 - Any & All - Any user not already in the database is given the level of 1. They can't do much, but it's better than being banned.

100 - Basic Users - Anyone that shows interest in Gigglez, but doesn't quite qualify for the next level up.

300 - Clan Friends - People from other clans, or solo players that hang around Cloud 9 a lot and haven't fucked up yet. ;-]

500 - Cloud 9 Crew - Cloud 9 members get this level. They can do more than friends, such as querying our servers.

600 - Cloud 9 Admins - Cloud 9 admins can do a little more than regular members.

800 - Gigglez Admins - These are the few that I trust enough to give them the power to add or remove users.

1000 - Jester - The owner of the bot, myself. I, of course, can execute any and all commands.

Command List:

Level 0 :

!mylevel - Displays your user level.

Level 1:

!date - Displays the current date.

!levels - Displays the list of user levels.

!gigglez - Displays the commands available for your level.

Level 100:

!add x y - Adds x to y and returns the sum.

!subtract x y - Subtracts y from x and returns the difference.

!multiply x y - Multiplies x by y and returns the product.

!divide x y - Divides x by y and returns the quotient.

!square x - Returns the square root of x.

!temp x y - Converts y to Fahrenheit or Celsius or vice versa where x is c2f or f2c.

!random x y - Returns a random number between x and y.

!quote - Returns a random quote from the database. Note: Some quotes are explicit.

Level 300:

!eightball x - Returns a random yes or no answer for question x.

!uptime - Displays how long the bot has been running.

Level 500:

!scream x - Return message x five times in all caps. Useful for getting someone's attention.

!status - Display players, map, and gametype for Cloud 9 servers.

!players x -  Returns a list of players on server x where x is main, scrim, wicked, or jump.

!find x - Finds player x. Can be inaccurate as it relies on the Urban Terror master server which tends to bug out.

Level 600:

!bigtext x y - Sends message y as a 'bigtext' command to server x where x is main, scrim, wicked, or jump.

Level 800:

The people that need these commands can ask. ;-]

 

Note: Users can issue any command at or below their level.
